Manuella Williams past away 1st March 2001 aged 78
She had 9 children Francis(tony past away) peter, ted, john (raymond past away)julie, anita, steve and
had 14 grandchildren and was a great grandmother.

Our mum was born in Spain and came to England in the 1940s. She was a wonderful mum
and a nan she would always put everyone else first, and loved to have her grandchildren around
her.

On Saturdays she would have a bet on the horses, by the afternoon
her grandchildren used to visit, despite having a full house with us and her grandchildren you could
guarantee she would cook everyone egg, chips, and beans and in the evening she would do a big spread
with plenty of soft drinks for the children then would settle down with a glass of wine.

Our mum was taken to hospital in which i had to call for the ambulance one evening from our mums
house after i received a call from my sister
Anita telling me to pop down to see if mum was ok as it was only 20mins
away for me by car. she had a call from our brother ray who lived with
our mum who was concerned about our mums health and was worried.

My wife (Mel) and i found our mum laying in her bed which was in the front room looking delirious,
i spoke to my mum up close but couldn't
make sense what she was saying, i too was concerned so rang for the
ambulance something which i didn't want to do because i know my mum
didn't like hospitals .

Once the ambulance was on their way i rang the rest of the family
to inform them of the situation.

It wasn't long before the ambulance men turned up at the front door and
came in the front room, i felt so bad for ringing for the ambulance.

Our mum died of pneumonia a week later, we were by her bed side when
she past away, my sister held her hand and i held my mums other hand
as she closed her eyes "i love you mum" was my last words to her.

IN LOVING MEMORY TO OUR MUM AND NAN, ALWAYS IN OUR THOUGHTS AND FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS TILL WE MEET
AGAIN MUM LOVE YOU.

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Mother you were the nicest, you were always there for me You sung me nursery rhymes as you bounced me on your knee You did everything that you could for me then left me on my own. The angels wanted you with them so they came and took you home, No one could ask more from their mum than what you did for me. Every day you gave me time, our closeness all could see You cuddled and cherished me as a mother always does, Supported me in everything and often gave me a shove. You wiped my tears when I cried and laughed at all my ways I know I tried you with my moments as every child does. When life can get too much to bear in all the tear and rush But you were there for me whenever I needed you Sadly now it is too late, for your arms I can no longer feel, I should have told you when I could that my love for you was real.

manuella i only met you once at steve and mel's wedding, but i have heard so much about you that i feel as if i had known you longer, and steve believe me your mum knows how much you loved her don't ever think any different, and don't be sorry for calling an ambulance, because thanks to you she didn't die at home alone, she had you and most of her family with her. she would be proud of you.
